Find your voice. Own the stage.
Musical theatre and pop voice lessons for teens and adults in Pleasantville, NY.
The hard stuff becomes surprisingly doable.
Most singers walk in thinking their voice is the problem. It's usually not.
Your voice already knows how to do a lot! I just help you trust it. Instead of drilling technique in the abstract, we work on the music you actually care about, and use it to build real skills: breath control, range, consistency, the ability to show up and sing well even when you're nervous.
Lessons are practical, low-pressure, and (I promise) kind of fun. You'll leave each session knowing exactly what to work on and why. And most students even leave a little surprised at what they pulled off.

Hi, I'm Jimena.
I'm a voice teacher and professional singer based in Pleasantville, NY. I have a Master's in Vocal Performance and more than ten years of teaching experience, but what I'm most excited about right now is contemporary commercial music vocal pedagogy: the techniques behind the singing styles you actually hear in musical theatre, pop, and everything in between.
A few years ago I made a deliberate choice to specialize in contemporary music, because most singers in this area are being taught classical technique whether they want it or not. I wanted to offer something different: lessons built around your voice, your goals, and the music you love.
My studio is in Pleasantville, at a space I love, and I also teach online.
45-minute private lessons, starting at $90.
Enrollment is by season: fall, winter, spring, and summer. Single lessons and packages available.
Testimonials
"From the very 1st voice lesson, my daughter immediately connected with Ms Jimena. She is engaging, encouraging, positive, and helps you to strengthen your weaker areas. She has a great ability to break down techniques like breath control, pitch, and tone that is easy to understand and has made a big difference in building confidence and vocal ability. My daughter’s voice has taken off and she has been given lead roles in her high school productions and won awards. Very grateful to Ms Jimena for helping my daughter to grow into her potential. She is truly a remarkable voice teacher."

“We had the pleasure of having Ms. Jimena teach our daughter Claire while she was in Houston, and we are truly grateful for her time and dedication. She is a highly trained musician and a patient, encouraging teacher who connects well with young students. Jimena helped build Claire’s confidence and skills in vocal performance, and Claire always looked forward to her lessons. We highly recommend her to any family seeking high-quality vocal training in a warm and supportive environment. We are excited to see her new studio in New York thrive.”

“Jimena is a highly talented singer and, in my opinion, the best singing teacher I've ever had. Her technique helped me improve both my voice and my interpretation. She also helped me boost my confidence and stage presence. Besides being an amazing person, she has a genuine passion for teaching, both adults and children.”
